Icon: Linda Maria Ronstadt
Born: 15th July (cancer) 1946, Tuscon, Arizona, US
Height: 1,58 m

Story: Linda was born in Tuscon as a third child to her parents. His father was a prosperous machinery merchant and her mother was a homemaker from a wealthy family of an inventer Lloyd Groff Copeman. She was raised in big family ranch and their family was even featured in "Family Circle" magazine in 1953. At age 14 she formed a folk trio with her brother Peter and sister Gretchen. The group "the Union City Ramblers" or "The Three Ronstadts" played coffeehouses and other small venues. They performed folk, country, bluegrass and mexican music that they had grew up with. Linda got interested in mixing up folk and rock'n'roll and in 1964 after a semester in Arizona State University she moved to Los Angeles at 18 years old to catch up with and old University pal guitarist Bob Kimmel. In LA they met guitarist song writer Kenny Edwards and formed a band called the Stoney Poneys. Band got a bit of popularity and fame but in 1968 Linda decided to head for solo career. Lindas first two albums were honky tonk country but her third album consisted softer country rock songs from Jackson Brown, Neil Young and Eric Anderson. Her then background band eventually evolded to be the Eagles. She recorded different styled albums and is fair to say she was the most successful female artist of the 70's. By the end of 70's she was also the highest paid woman in rock. When getting to 80's Linda launched an career at Broadway and kept getting parts. Linda was never married but in the mid 70's she had a relationship with then-governor of California Jerry Brown. In 1983Linda dated comedian Jim Carrey for 8 monts and in the mid 80's she was engaged to Star Wars director George Lucas. In 1990 she adopted an infant daughter Mary Clementine and in 1994 she adopted baby boy Carlos Ronstadt. In 2011 Linda announced her retirement and in 2013 she revealed having Parkinson's disease and is no longer capable to sing. Same year she released her memoir "Simple Dreams". She was introduced to Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
Style: Linda has a cute natural look that oozes mexican sensuality from her ancestors. Her dark brown eyes and thick dark brown hair were the base for her casually sensual look. She was an epitome of a California girl - casual but sexy. She has stated that she didn't want to be portraited as a sexy woman instead of professional musician but her outlook was important.
